Claflin Dining Hall

Location: West Campus, in front of Nickerson Field. The first floor of the left most tower, looking up from the middle of Nickerson. No BUID necesary to enter the building.

Grilled stuff is furthest back from the Claflin enterance. They had swordfish-kabobs here once!!

More coming soon!

Price:
1 Meal-plan point or price depending on lunch or dinner.

Eagle's Deli

Location: Cleveland Circle ("C" Green-line all the way out), in a row of shops. Near BC, hence the name.

King Kong Burger
1/4 of beef (i think) prepared so well that its mouthwatering. The burger is cooked before your eyes, and it looks great. Fries are average (for being so homemade), but the place *is* the second-best place in the WORLD to pig out. Try out the other burgers too! (if you can, that is)

Price:
$6.75+tx

Charlie's

Location: Newbury Street, somewhere in front of the Pru?

Really good expensive burger
If there is a posh-burger, that tastes amazing, like a steak, then this is it! Expensive, but worth every bite.

More details soon!

BU Events/Catering

Location: Whenever the outdoor grill is being used for a "barbeque" for an event or large meal time. For example, orientation, CAS barbeque, etc. Sometimes behind Marsh Chapel.

Hamburger
Self-serve! Put the bun, tomatoes, lettuce and burger together! No sliced pickles, although dill pickles are available. Ketchup, mayo, mustard and relish are all in the annoying plastic packets that get all over your hands, shoes, socks, and whatever else you're wearing. Cheese is available sometimes, although it can't really be melted on.

Price:
Free for the event. I guess you're not allowed to complain if its free.

Warren Towers Dining Hall

Location: Comm Ave, 4th Floor of Warren Towers (where else?). Go past security desk, past elevators, and to your left. You will need a valid BUID to enter the building (at the 4th floor), or someone to sign you in.

Cheesburger
Although made off the grill, often a little charred and standard patty fare. It tells you its dining hall quality. Buns are okay. Even though you can get as many as you want, I would never go for more than one per sitting.

French Fries
Pretty bland potato things. Cafeteria quality. Add salt or ketchup- whichever your table isn't missing.

Price:
1 Meal-plan point or price depending on lunch or dinner. Get someone to guest meal you, but don't expect much.

University Grille

Location: Comm Ave, on the same row as Beijing and the Modern Foreign Language department. Also known as UGrill.

All-Time Favorite Cheeseburger Plate

Cheesburger Plate
Very tasty and the meat is excellent and distinctive. Bun is pretty good, although the lettuce and tomatoes are a little mismatched. Comes with bland fries and good coleslaw.

Price:
Slightly expensive. $5.50 w/o tax

UNO's

Location: Kenmore Square, at the intersection.
Secondary Location: Comm Ave and Harvard Ave, "B" stop on the Greenline, about half-way to BC. At the top of the hill, and then follow Comm Ave left to a traffic light. On the left, a very classy UNO's with party space in the basement.

UNO Burger
N/A

Price:

more details soon!

Burger King

Location: Comm Ave, George Sherman Union Food Court (GSU). In the back corner, beside Tuscan Oven and Copper Kettle.
Secondary Location: Comm Ave, in front of COM (School of Communications). Don't cross the track there though! Full service and drive-thru restaurant. Air conditioned. Fountain drinks here are awful.

Double Cheeseburger
Good fast food fare. Microwaved on the spot, so the cheese is melting. Mmmm. Meat is okay, two pieces is definitely worth it. Standard with pickles, mustard, and ketchup.

Double Cheeseburger w/ Bacon
Same as Doublecheese, except with a few crispy or fatty pieces of bacon. Not very good bacon, usually really salty. Still, if you're hungry, go for it!

Angus Burger
Also known as a steakburger. DO NOT GET THIS!!! The meat has a very odd taste, that could be emulating angus beef, and there's lots of it. The Whopper is better in every way.

Medium Fries
Although sometimes double-fried, often very greasy. Tells you that it's fast food, but what else did you expect? Add salt or pepper, and even the various sauces dips BK offers to your liking.

Price:
Under $5 w/o drink.

My Brother's Place

Location: South Campus, on the corner with the recruiting center and 7/11

Cheeseburger Roll w/ French Fries

Cheesburger Roll w/ Fries

EXCELLENT CHOICE!
Superb off the grill taste, and very good fries. Amazing value too!

Price:
Currently on the specials menu, $3.75+tx for cheeseburger and fries.
$5.25 total with a coke.

Hamburger Reviews!

Hey y'all!
This is my blog to post all sorts of food reviews, but especially hamburgers! I'm starting with BU Campus and will try to see where I will get with this whole blog. Hamburgers make great foods for lunch, as they contain essential greens, meats and carbs to get us going, and taste great too! Plus, they aren't that expensive, and usually come with side orders like fries. I love hamburgers, but not all hamburgers were created equal, and indeed, when there is discriminating taste, there are superior qualities. I'm going to try to find the best burger possible, but also keep in mind different ones to try out.

Guest reviews are completely welcome! A lot of the data will be updated as this blog goes on, so the date of the posts isn't really that relevant.

Feel free to link to this blog!!

All right- I'm going to try to post as many restaurants as I can think up of right now.
